To shoot this building, 33 N Dearborn, was a challenge. It is practically impossible to photograph from the south (light side). As such, I decided to photograph it from the the north west (Daley Plaza). I also got access to the 16th floor of the Daley Center in order to photograph the building and capture its relation to the lake. In the aerial image the sky has been replaced due to a completely blown out sky. The street level view is one of the things I consistently like to do in my architectural photography – and that is use a monopod about 16 feet in the air to get an interesting perspective – especially of an intersection.
